Within the free trial, we'll show you the issues in your broken backup, and how those issues would be resolved. Register the program with a license code, and then you can complete the automatic repair process, and restore the repaired backup to your iOS device in iTunes.


When you purchase the full version of Decipher TextMessage to export your iPhone text messages to your computer, you are immediately sent a link to download the software installer and you are also sent a unique license code. Your license code will let you activate a phone within the program and that will convert the free trial of Decipher TextMessage to the paid version of the program for that device and all the backups associated with that specific phone. Each license code activation is good for all backups of that device into the future as well.


For backups made with iOS 10.1.1 and lower, the backup password is optional and some repairs can be done without it. However having the backup password allows Decipher Backup Repair to do the encryption verification and repairs mentioned in the first bullet which may be necessary to get your backup restoring.


License codes are sent immediately after the purchase completes, however we find that sometimes a customer's email server might take a few minutes to deliver the email. Don't panic! Give it five or ten minutes and if you still haven't received your license code, just drop us a support email and we'll write you back with help and your license code.

Alternatively, you can open Decipher Backup Repair and click the "Delete this Backup" button to delete a repaired backup.


If you restored the repaired backup to the same iPhone device that originally made the broken backup, you may also want to "Archive" the original backup in iTunes so that iTunes doesn't try to update the old broken backup as it makes new incremental backups.
